"I started looking for a new daycare for my Golden-doodle, Regina, because I felt she needed more mental stimulation than the traditional daycare setting we were going to. Calling around, Amelia’s name came up about her Pup Camp. Camp is an alternative style of daycare for small groups of friendly dogs with green space to run. My hesitancy of relinquishing Regina to a new setting was quickly reduced when I met Amelia. Her confidence exudes from her as well as her extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of the puppy mind set. She is exceptionally in-tune with the poodley side of my pup. "We cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about Amelia. Like all good pet parents, we are very particular and discerning about who cares for our two beloved pups, Turnip and Georgie. Our regular dog sitter moved out of state, and we were so nervous about hiring someone to replace her. We go out of town pretty often and needed to find some reliable and trustworthy to care for our pups. "We first started working with Amelia when Nico was a puppy. He had soooo much energy to get out each day that wasn't satisfied by our daily walks. She was a lifesaver and took him on extended camp trips with other dogs that he continues to love to this day. Nico, now three, loves getting to roam in open spaces and play with other dogs. He comes home tired and happy whenever it’s a Pomeroy Pup Pack day. Amelia does way more than just exercise him. She has a keen eye for doggy behavior and builds regular training into every interaction to build and reinforce great behavior. We’ve worked with several other dog trainers and find Amelia’s understanding of dog behavior, her blend of care and caution, her ability to communicate with us and our pup all to be top notch. For example, she takes a lot of care to design dog packs where all the dogs can be safe and have fun. She is both compassionate and boundaried, and is an excellent communicator who always brings up any behaviors we want to work on together. Our schedule can be a little crazy but Amelia is totally reliable and always follows through on what she says she will. Nico’s also enjoyed many camp days and overnights with Amelia that make it possible for us to go on family trips knowing he will be well taken care of. Nico is a very family-focused dog and Amelia is so thoughtful about his overnights, getting him used to the space in advance, making sure he has blankets that smell like home and feels safe and cared for. We can’t recommend Pomeroy Pup Pack more highly for its safe, fun, happy experiences – and if you could see Nico dance and prance around the house with excitement whenever we say Amelia’s name you’d know he gives her 4 paws up!"
